As the district prepares for the start of the 2024-25 school year, the Transportation Department would like to share some important information for parents/guardians:
- Large school buses are equipped with Tyler Drive Tablets that provide live GPS, as well as student ridership information to the district’s transportation department.
- Parents/guardians are able to download a parent communication app giving them access to their child’s bus number, name of the bus driver, and the expected bus arrival time based on the GPS data (for both morning and afternoon runs.)
- The My Ride K-12 app is available on both the Apple and Android app stores. Parents/guardians should download the app to access transportation information for their student(s). Additionally, existing log-in information can be used to access a web version of My Ride K-12 at myridek12.tylerapp.com.
- Each student can have two parents/guardians sign up for the app, but parents/guardians can share their login information with others (i.e. grandparents, caregivers, etc.) In regard to safety/custody issues: the transportation department will have access to manage users who have access to the app if a situation arises.
- The My Ride K-12 app will be the only way to get 2024-25 school year bus information, including bus#, assigned driver, pick-up, and drop-off times. There will not be anything mailed this year.
- All busing information will be available on the My Ride K-12 app starting on August 26.
Bus Badges
- Bus drivers will distribute bus badges to students during the first few days of school.
- If a badge is lost/misplaced or damaged by the student, there will be a $5 dollar charge to cover the cost of the replacement badge. If a student turns in a badge that is in good condition, but not working, there will not be a charge
