Dear 6th Grade families, We are so excited to announce that all 6th grade students are invited to Camp Chingachgook this June! Students of Schuylerville Central School District have been visiting Camp Chingachgook as an annual tradition for many years. During the pandemic, we were deeply saddened to put our camp trip on hold. We are extra grateful to be able to offer this amazing opportunity to all of our sixth graders once again this year! This trip is a 3-day, 2-night outdoor trip to Camp Chingachgook on Lake George. For some of you, this may be the first you are hearing of camp, while others may have sent an older student to camp and may notice some changes. This year, all students will be going to camp together from Monday, June 5 to Wednesday, June 7. During their time at camp, students will stay overnight in lakeside cabins and engage in many activities such as: hiking, canoeing, team building activities and low ropes course, etc.
Registration
- Registration is required to be completed by parents/guardians by Friday, May 5.
Parent Meetings
- All sixth grade parents are invited to attend an optional informational meeting on Thursday, March 30 at 7:00 p.m. in the Middle School Gym.
- There will be a mandatory 6th grade parent meeting Wednesday, May 24 (right before the trip.)
