Dear Grades K-4 Schuylerville Elementary School families,
Schuylerville Elementary School believes academic excellence and high achievement result from well-balanced classes. Parents have an opportunity to help ensure the classes are balanced by providing input into the process by completing an annual Student Information Form. This form is due by April 21.
*Please note: This form is for parents/guardians of students entering grades 1-5 next year. Incoming kindergarten students have a separate form, as well as current 5th grade students who will be entering middle school.
Our team of administrators, teachers, and related service providers will soon begin the process of student placements into classrooms for next year. We invite you to share your thoughts on your child’s learning characteristics, including their personality, learning style, social emotional needs, and any other valuable information that will assist us in making a positive classroom placement for the 2023-24 academic school year.
While your response is not required, should you choose to participate, we will use your input in the placement process. Please note that we do not take parent requests for teachers, and therefore this is not an opportunity to request a specific teacher for the upcoming year. Forms do not carry over from one year to the next; therefore it should not be assumed that we have information you may have shared in the past.
The class placement process is extensive and well thought out. As a result, after placements are made, we will not make changes as to a child’s placement, as it has the potential to disrupt the balance of one or more classrooms.
