Schuylerville Elementary School Principal Rose Beckett has accepted a position at Shenendehowa Central School District as principal of Koda Middle School. Beckett has served as Schuylerville’s elementary principal for the past four years. Her last day with the district will be Friday, June 23, which is also the last day of school for students.
“During her time in Schuylerville, Rose worked very hard to meet the needs of our students, particularly during the pandemic and our return to in-person learning,” said Board of Education President Michael Bodnar. “We appreciate all of Rose’s contributions over the last several years and wish her the best in her new position.”
“Being a part of the Schuylerville community for the past four years has been very rewarding,” said Beckett. “Schuylerville has taught me life lessons that I will carry with me both personally and professionally. I will never forget the way I was welcomed on my first day and all the moments along the way. This community is truly one of a kind. I look forward to my next chapter, but will always look back fondly on the time I spent in Schuylerville with our students and staff.”
The district plans to post for an elementary principal position by Monday, May 8, with an anticipated date of hire of July 1.
