The WSWHE BOCES Career and Technical Education (CTE) program recognized 56 Capital Region students who will go directly into the workforce at the CTE Signing Day, five of whom are Schuylerville seniors!
Students signed letters of intent with their employers and will be graduating with pre-established career training and industry-recognized certifications. According to a workforce study commissioned by the Saratoga Economic Development Corporation, over the next ten years, the regional economy is projected to add another 12,500 jobs, growing by 14% in 2024. An additional 24,900 jobs will have to be filled due to replacement demand, bringing the total number of jobs that need to be filled over the next 10 years to 37,400.
“Congratulations to the Schuylerville seniors who have made an important commitment to their future,” said Superintendent Gregg Barthelmas. “Our district greatly values the CTE program, as it provides an additional pathway for our students to engage in during their high school career. We wish our students the very best in their future endeavors!”
