July 2 pesticide application notice

Pesticide products are applied periodically throughout the school year at Schuylerville CSD, requiring advance notice to the public and 48-hour closures of the treated areas, pursuant to State Education Law Section 409-H. The next application will be Tuesday, July 2 at the middle school football practice field. The field will be closed for 48 hours and reopen on Thursday, July 4. Currently, the practice field has invasive grass and weeds and is pitted and uneven in areas. If left untreated, the field will deteriorate to a point where it is unsafe for play. The first step in the repair is to treat the grass and then work to reestablish it.
