From October to March, students read ten fiction and non-fiction books in preparation for the 14th annual Battle of the Books event, guided by School Library Media Specialist Maria Weeks. The selected titles covered a variety of genres, aiming to expose students to different types of literature. Schuylerville grade-level teams were among 82 teams competing in the event, with the 5th-grade team advancing to the semi-finals!
A total of 637 students from 23 school districts participated in the event, which was organized by WSWHE BOCES.
